Amazing Peanut Butter Moonshine
Nothing says comfort and childhood like a good helping of old-fashioned peanut butter. The combination of its creamy and salty goodness and satisfying taste brings back the good old days of a brown paper bagged lunch packed with love. It is also packed with fat, sugar and a good source of protein.
What is Peanut Butter Moonshine?
While many would argue that peanut butter cannot be improved upon, we would beg to differ. Peanut butter only gets better when added to the right ingredients. Of course, jelly or jam comes to mind first. But there is also chocolate, and of course, moonshine.
Peanut butter moonshine may seem like an unusual combination, but it actually makes a lot of sense. Combining a childhood favorite with your preferred adult beverage is a great contender for your new favorite drink.
How is Flavored Moonshine Made?
Flavored moonshines are generally made one of two ways. The flavor is created using speciality ingredients in the mash, (this is true with fruit mashes) or the flavor is infused after the moonshine has already been distilled. In this case, we will be infusing the flavor into already distilled moonshine. However, we do have a suggestion for a flavor-infused moonshine that would be an ideal pairing.
While you do not have to use a specialty moonshine for this recipe, we would strongly suggest trying this recipe with our honey moonshine.
The sweet taste of honey pairs well with the salty and nutty essence of peanut butter on sandwiches, so why wouldn’t they get along in a cocktail?
Of course, honey shine is one of our more expensive mashes so if you are unsure whether you will enjoy the taste of peanut butter shine, it makes sense to try this infusion on a less favorited spirit first.
